CABOT HOSIERY MILLS, NORTHFIELD, VERMONT

First, we don’t make hats, gloves, base layer or soft shell.

All we do, all we have ever done, is make socks.

My family has been in the hosiery business for 3 generations. My father started Cabot Hosiery Mills in 1978 and for the past 43 years we have been making socks here, in the Green Mountains of Northfield, Vermont. We introduced Darn Tough Vermont about 17 years ago in an effort to keep our mill alive and running, without having to send jobs off shore.

We are interested in one thing. Producing the best possible socks the world has to offer.

Just when we think we’ve arrived, we start over and improve what we’ve almost perfected. Little changes, small adjustments, a touch more of this or a drop less of that is what keeps us going. That willingness to never give up, to never be satisfied, to go for that next peak, is what we are all about.

We’d rather not do it than not do it well. It’s what separates us from every other sock out there.

We are so confident in who we are and what we do that we back up our socks with an unconditional lifetime guarantee.

If they are not the most comfortable, best fitting and durable socks you've ever worn, send them back and we’ll replace them free of charge.
