Sometimes, we are unable to send all pairs back at the same time due to stock availability. Rather than have you wait, we send back what we can. The remaining pairs will remain on file until we can fulfill your warranty claim.

How to Claim Your Warranty
Please read the following carefully - there are no strings, we promise. We just want you to have the smoothest experience possible.
You’ve already taken the first step towards replacing your socks and allowing us to restore your trust in Darn Tough. For the next step, please follow these instructions:
Mail the pair of socks you’d like to warranty to our Vancouver office - we need BOTH socks from the pair (a complete pair; single socks will not be processed), along with a completed Warranty form. If you don't have access to a printer, send them with a piece of paper showing your full name, mailing/return address, shoe size, where you purchased the socks and how long you've had them along with the reason for your claim (comfort, durability or fit) to the address below: (We do not require proof of purchase)

You are responsible for the cost of shipping the socks to us and although we suggest mail, just to keep the costs down for you, please note that we are not responsible for lost socks and you may wish to consider getting tracking.
Please complete & send 1 form per 1 pair of socks unless you are sending multiples of the same sock.
(ie. exact same - STYLE, COLOUR, HEIGHT, SIZE etc)
If you need a different size, please indicate it on the Warranty form in the section 'Preferred socks size', otherwise we will replace them with the same size as received. The sock size is woven inside the front cuff of each sock (you will see a capital letter - S, M, L, XL etc.). Please see the size chart below or click HERE.
TIP: Mail your clean, washed, socks as FLAT as possible (even in multiple envelopes if more than 1 pair) with the warranty form, as this will significantly reduce your mailing costs! You can use an ordinary letter sized envelope - mailing your socks by letter mail, Canada Post Regular mail (no tracking) and as flat as possible (rather than parcel post), will keep costs down considerably. Please don't tape your socks to the warranty form as we need to use the form.
The final step, once we receive the socks & form, is for us to inspect the socks and record any wear areas (this helps us make better socks!), then mail out a comparable replacement to you as soon as possible. We ship replacement pairs in separate envelopes (up to 4 pairs) so please note that they might be delivered on a different day!
Although we do our best to match the socks as much as possible, we usually have to make a substitution as the style may no longer be in production or not currently in stock. If this is the case, we will replace the socks with a comparable style (height, cushion/weight, size & usage category) in accordance with the warranty policy. We try our best to send as 'like' as possible but if you are unhappy with what you receive, please note that it is not grounds for an exchange.
We DO NOT contact / inform our customers once we receive the socks.
We know you want your new socks but please allow 6-8 weeks for processing and shipping before contacting us to follow up.
We often send replacement socks out in separate envelopes. If you have received one pair and are expecting more, they will be coming!
Occasionally, there may be a longer delay due to unavailability of stock (we are limited by mill availability). We will send you a comparable sock as soon as we can but sometimes there are no comparable styles available and we must wait for the mill to knit some more!
We do our best to send you replacements as soon as possible and we thank you for your patience!

What does your warranty cover?
Basically anything and everything. If they are not the most comfortable, durable, best fitting socks you have ever owned return the pair to us for another pair. Things that are not covered—disappeared in the laundry, the dog ate them, too close to camp fire, theft by friend or foe, or 'I lost one!' - we only warranty pairs.
Can you send warranty replacements before I send in my worn out socks?
It is our policy that we first receive the socks to be replaced so we can examine them. This allows us to ensure that we’re addressing any issues that the worn sock might illustrate.
How do you ship them back to me?
We ship multiple pairs in multiple envelopes and they may not be delivered on the same day. Please allow a few more business days for the socks to show up.
What if I need a different size - the socks are too small/too big?
No problem! Please have a look inside the front cuff of each sock to see what size you currently have and if you need a smaller/bigger replacement, please indicate it on the Warranty claim form in the section 'Preferred socks size' and we will go from there. Otherwise, we will replace your socks with the same size as received.
Does your guarantee include losing socks? Would you sell me just one sock?
While it’s pretty darn comprehensive, our guarantee does not cover sock loss and we don’t sell single socks. Our guarantee applies to socks that have not met expectations relating to comfort, durability and fit.
Does the warranty still apply if I dye my socks a different color or if I cut down my socks to make a smaller size?
No, when a customer alters the sock in any way, through resizing or dyeing, they have voided our warranty. Dyes are chemicals that can adversely affect the materials we use to make our socks and resizing damages their structural integrity.
